This walk takes in some spectacular views of the village from the Sharpenhoe Clappers and Smithcombe Hill along a route which is a mix of public footpaths and local permissive paths. The route is in two sections with a possible break at the Chequers Pub in Streatley.

Extreme caution should be exercised when crossing the A6 Barton Le Clay Bypass as traffic is fast flowing in both directions.


 

 

Walk 1

Barton Le Clay - Streatley - Barton Le Clay

 
 

This walk is is a circular route of MEDIUM difficulty and is a total of 6.3 miles long. This route is accessible year round however some section may be slippery after prolonged rain.

All Community Website Walks start and finish at Barton Le Clay Library, limited car parking is available in this area.

Walk 1 is a mix of public footpaths and permissive local paths, it contains two steep changes in elevation. This walk can be continuous or can be split in to two sections with a break at the Chequers Pub in Streatley.
