I'm keen to get in touch with anyone who has family that worked on the airfield, this would be 1935 to 1945... Does any of the names below ring a bell?

Dunstable Sailplane Co,
Luton Aircraft Ltd,
International Airports
CH Latimer-Needham
William Manuel (Cpl Bill Manual)
Cpt DMK Marandaz
Miss Dorothy O Summers

The Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA)

Jenna,

I stumbled across your website recently. Very interesting since my grandfather was C. H. Latimer-Needham. I never knew before why two of his airplanes and his company are named after Luton. At some point my grandfather started to write his memoirs and I still have a copy. It covers from WWI to about 1929 in detail. I suppose that he intended to write about later events but didn't. Unfortunately I have not found any reference to Barton-le-Clay. I should reread them...
