Another couple of pictures of one of the local landmark buildings.

'Speed the Plough' pub over the years had quite a few lives, some were a little more 'adult' than others but the main building has survived through all the transitions.

This pic shows a section of the OS 1922 (revised 1948) map with the 'Speed the Plough' marked on it, how old was the pub?



as the building was before its last renovation....



and as it is today as part of the Grove.




do you have any stories about the Speed the Plough?, do you have any pictures we could add to the archive?

Hi i see you asking about the history of speed the plough pub, my grandfather and grandmother owed the pub for years, if u need pictures i have some and can tell you lots about the pub.
